Join us this evening, Monday, July 11 for the first LIVE Open Mic that we’ve hosted in a couple of years! During the height of Covid we held Open Mic on Zoom and we’ve missed the in-person intimacy and friendships we’ve developed through the years. All are welcome – just to listen, or to share their poetry or excerpts from their prose writing (short stories, novels, memoirs, and more). Each speaker presents their work for about five minutes.
Host Roger Davis may call himself an “unqualified, uncertified, undocumented poet,” but that isn’t quite the case, because he’s quite documented and qualified — including two books, Imperishable, and Jabuticaba. And whether or not he’s certifiable…or certified, we can also tell you Roger has been hosting our monthly Open Mic for the last couple of years. Thank you Roger.
Come down for the readings and to check out the new GWC. Ride your bike over or park at Cripple Cove and walk over. As Amanda Cook says, “Bring your words…get heard.”
