Join us to welcome Salem-based poets Blake Campbell and Justin Burnett for their debut reading at the Gloucester Writers Center!
Blake Campbell grew up in a Pennsylvania farmhouse and now lives in Salem, MA. His writing has appeared in Painted Bride Quarterly, The Dark Horse, The Worcester Review, Measure Review, Lambda Literary, and the anthology 14 International Younger Poets. A Pushcart Prize nominee, he is the recipient of the 2015 Aliki Perroti and Seth Frank Most Promising Young Poet Award from the Academy of American Poets and a 2020 Emerging Artist Award from the St. Botolph Club Foundation. His chapbook Across the Creek is available from Pen & Anvil Press.
Justin Burnett has appeared or has work forthcoming in Montage, The Boston Compass, Neologism, and Survivor Lit. A selection of their poetry is featured in the anthology 14 International Younger Poets, edited by Philip Nikolayev.
