Public Staged Reading – date TBD
Limited to 12 participants.
Everyone has a story to tell. The 10-minute play format has all the elements of drama – plot, characters, dialogue & conflict. Learn how to put those elements into a short piece written specifically for the stage, for actors, and for an audience. Over the 4 week class, participants will create a 10-minute play for a Staged Reading to be performed live. If you are a writer, this is an opportunity to work on dialogue – or just stretch your skills into the world of theatre! If you are a dreamer, put your story into the short-play format for all the world to see!
Your play will have a professional Staged Reading at the Rocky Neck Cultural Center, where it will be read by actors. Our Readings have been drawing large crowds and providing audience feedback for the plays.
