Stories about Injustice and Hope: 3:30-4:40
Join the Gloucester community as it comes together to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther
King, Jr. Day. GWC Fish Tales will present five storytellers who will offer their
personal stories about injustice and hope. Storytellers include a Syrian immigrant
from Aleppo, Syria; a refugee family from Damascus, Syria; a refugee family
representative from Kabul, Afghanistan; an LBGTQ military veteran; and an
African-American hip hop dance professional. It will be an inspirational and
moving segment that will highlight the importance of freedom of expression,
justice and equality, and the power of diversity.
