Elements of Story: 6 sessions

A workshop-style class with writing, reading, and discussion focusing on
different elements that make a strong story: character development, sense of
place, plot and overall structure, language and word choice and whatever
else come up in your work. We’ll look at fiction and non-fiction examples in
short form and long.

Bring pens and notebook, a piece you’re working on if you have one, and,
most importantly, bring your interest, energy, and sense of humor! We’ll
have a lively time and get a lot of work done while we’re having fun.

We will meet Thursday mornings from 9:30-12:30 on October 3, October 10, October 17, October 24, October 31 and November 7.
