The first gathering for the Veterans Writing Workshop, Fall, 2018, will take place on Oct 18th at the Veterans Center, 12 Emerson Ave. Please register at Cape Ann Veterans Services with Lucia Amero at 978-281-9740. The goal of this workshop is to write. People will be able to get started or move forward on their writing projects.
Veterans from all conflicts and the families of Veterans are welcome to attend, to listen to others, and share some writing when they are ready. The workshop provides an informal, comfortable space where Veterans and civilians can learn from each other and get to know one another. This fall is the beginning of the sixth year of this writing workshop and the 11th season. More about the protocol for the fall workshop will be mentioned during the first two sessions.
The sessions will meet seven Thursdays from 10 – 12 pm on Oct. 18; Oct 25; Nov. 1; Nov. 8; Nov. 15; (skip Thanksgiving, Nov. 22) Nov. 29; and Dec. 6.
The Veterans Writing Workshop is supported by Cape Ann Veterans Services and The Gloucester Writers Center. Dorothy Shubow Nelson facilitates and leads this workshop.
