SUMMARY:FISH TALES............. rock & roll
DESCRIPTION:Tune up that guitar slayer story or what about when Ringo Starr was down the Fish Pier or  Billy Joel playing  Rudder or Willie “Loco” Alexander walking down  Middle Street and then what happened…” Come to the GWC and tell your tale of Rock & Roll glory. \n  \nAt our last Fish Tale event  folks came out to hear and share true stories. Bobbie Wayne told a story about her dulcimer and Pete Seeger. Henry Ferinni followed on with a story about Pete Seeger and Charles Olson. The best observation from the night came from a woman commenting on her friend’s story: “I’ve known her my whole life\, and I’ve never her tell that story before.” Inspiration? Check. Community? Check. Come to the next Fish Tales on March 9th\, theme Rock and Roll? Check. \n \nShare this:\n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest

SUMMARY:Mug Up Workshop Series: Adaptations
DESCRIPTION:The Mug Up Workshop Series is a six-week mini-semester meeting on Saturday mornings from 9-11. Sharpen your pencil and join us as we focus on a variety of subjects. Each workshop is $30 or $20 each if you register for all six. Register by emailing GloucesterWriters@gmail.com. \nIn this seminar we will adapt traditional forms\, prose texts\, and other people’s poems to create work of our own inspired by the OULIPO experiments\, A Humument by Tom Phillips\, and other innovations. Bring an ear for the music of language and an open mind. You’ll discover how invented forms\, word collage\, chance operations\, poem erasures\, and more can spark poetic invention. \nTaught By: James Cook \n  \nShare this:\n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest
