SUMMARY:Writing a 10-Minute Play
DESCRIPTION:4-Week Workshop with Staged Reading event post-Workshop \nM. Lynda Robinson \n  \nDATE CHANGE! \nTo allow participants to attend the special screening of Midnight Special this class will begin one week later than originally planned. \nNew Dates: \nApril 7- April 28 \n  \n7:00-9:30 \n$125 \nPublic Staged Reading – date TBD \nLimited to 12 participants.\n \nEveryone has a story to tell. The 10-minute play format has all the elements of drama – plot\, characters\, dialogue & conflict. Learn how to put those elements into a short piece written specifically for the stage\, for actors\, and for an audience. Over the 4 week class\, participants will create a 10-minute play for a Staged Reading to be performed live. If you are a writer\, this is an opportunity to work on dialogue – or just stretch your skills into the world of theatre! If you are a dreamer\, put your story into the short-play format for all the world to see! \nYour play will have a professional Staged Reading at the Rocky Neck Cultural Center\, where it will be read by actors.  Our Readings have been drawing large crowds and providing audience feedback for the plays.  \nPlease register by emailing Amanda@gloucesterwriters.org or using the button below. \n\n\nNobody turned away for lack of funds. \n  \nShare this:\n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest
