Parents and friends welcome. \nStory and Space \nIn this workshop we will explore place through the art of short story. The places we live and travel to define and shape us in countless ways.  We will explore how other writers use place in their work and to what purpose. We will visit different local places a short walk away from the Gloucester Writers Center\, look at how they feel different or the same\, and write stories using their influence.  This workshop will also be an opportunity for students to explore and grow their own voices as writers. \n$200 \nTo register please email Amanda@GloucesterWriters.org.  Register by Monday\, June 27. \n\n\n\nShare this:\n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest

Over the 4 week class\, participants will create a 10-minute play for a Staged Reading to be performed live. If you are a writer\, this is an opportunity to work on dialogue – or just stretch your skills into the world of theatre! If you are a dreamer\, put your story into the short-play format for all the world to see! \nYour play will have a professional Staged Reading at the Rocky Neck Cultural Center\, where it will be read by actors.  Our Readings have been drawing large crowds and providing audience feedback for the plays.  \nPlease register by emailing Amanda@gloucesterwriters.org or using the button below. \n\n\nNobody turned away for lack of funds. \n  \nShare this:\n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest
