Visual Storytelling with Anne Rearick

November 7, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

$175
The Art of Visual Storytelling w/ Anne Rearick
Oct. 31 – Nov. 7 & 14    1-3 pm
$175 for workshop – Class maximum 10
This workshop will guide and support participants in honing their storytelling skills through photography. Stories may be personal and explore family and community or address larger societal issues like the Black Lives Matter movement or the profound effects of Covid-19 on our culture.
Time will be spent looking at and talking about photography, developing a personal vision and editing work. Depending on the weather we hope the first workshop is in person in Gloucester. Other sessions will be held on Zoom.
Anne Rearick has been a documentary photographer and educator for over 30 years.

She is the recipient of multiple awards and fellowships for her photography including a Guggenheim Fellowship to photograph the culture of amateur boxing, a Fulbright/Annette Kade fellowship to document life and culture in the rural Basque Country of France, and the Mosaique prize to explore rural life in Italy, Scotland and Spain. Anne’s work is exhibited, published and collected internationally. Her most recent book, True West, was published in 2019 by MaisonCF, Paris.
