Mug Up Workshop Series: From Blank Verse to Protective Verse: Responding to Gloucester’s Literary Diversity and Richness through Poetry

March 29, 2013 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

$30

The Mug Up Workshop Series is a six-week mini-semester meeting on Saturday mornings from 9-11. Sharpen your pencil and join us as we focus on a variety of subjects. Each workshop is $30 or $20 each if you register for all six. Register by emailing GloucesterWriters@gmail.com.

Gloucester has been a muse for traditional bards and an inspiration for innovative visionaries.  In this seminar we will write poems in response to writers as diverse as William Vaughn Moody and Vincent Ferrini, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and Linda Crane, T.S. Elliot and Charles Olson.  We will use traditional and experimental forms to shape our Gloucester experiences, observations, and visions.

Taught by James Cook
