Mug Up Workshop Series: Adaptations

The Mug Up Workshop Series is a six-week mini-semester meeting on Saturday mornings from 9-11. Sharpen your pencil and join us as we focus on a variety of subjects. Each workshop is $30 or $20 each if you register for all six. Register by emailing GloucesterWriters@gmail.com.

In this seminar we will adapt traditional forms, prose texts, and other people’s poems to create work of our own inspired by the OULIPO experiments, A Humument by Tom Phillips, and other innovations. Bring an ear for the music of language and an open mind. You’ll discover how invented forms, word collage, chance operations, poem erasures, and more can spark poetic invention.
